    Disadvantages: large weight, large volume, low energy mass ratio, strict requirements for charging and discharging.


    3. Service environment of battery

    The valve regulated battery shall be installed in a place far away from heat source and easy to generate sparks, and used in a clean environment. It is recommended that the battery room temperature should be between 15 ℃ and 35 ℃. It is better to install an air conditioner and control the temperature at about 25 ℃.

    Humidity, poor ventilation, solar radiation and other environments will inevitably shorten the life of VRB. Therefore, it is necessary to have a clean environment, good ventilation conditions, ambient temperature and avoid direct sunlight. In addition, in order to facilitate battery maintenance, appropriate maintenance space shall be reserved when selecting the machine room.


    4. Mixed use of batteries

    Mixed use of new and old batteries may cause different actual load currents of batteries, so mixed use should be avoided as far as possible.


    5. Battery capacity test

    For batteries that have been operated for more than three years, it is better to conduct a checking discharge test once a year to discharge 30-40% of the rated capacity (the rated capacity is calculated according to the actual discharge rate), and conduct a capacity discharge test once every three years to discharge 80% of the rated capacity, and record the voltage and total voltage of the cell.


    6. Charge in time

    When the battery is discharged, the salinization reaction starts. Charging will timely convert the active lead sulfate into spongy lead and lead dioxide. If it is left for more than 12 hours, the active lead sulfate will again crystallize into larger crystal particles and become irreversible sulfate.


    7. What is the harm of battery heating?

    In the process of charging and discharging, the battery will emit a certain amount of heat. However, a large amount of heat generated by the battery is very harmful to the battery. Heating will first cause the electrolyte water to evaporate and gradually dry up, then reduce the charging efficiency, deform the electrode plate, increase the internal resistance, accelerate the oxidation of mechanical parts, burn out the electrode plate or spacer, and finally, reduce the battery capacity and shorten the service life.
